QWO® in Cary and Fayetteville, NC

QWO® is a prescription medicine used to treat moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. Cape Fear Aesthetics offers QWO® to it’s patients living in Sanford, Lumberton, Cape Fear, Cary and the surrounding areas of North Carolina.

What is QWO®?

QWO® is the first and only FDA-approved non-surgical, injectable treatment clinically proven to reduce moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women.

In fact, most women will have cellulite in their lifetime–about 9 out of 10 women.

Healthy eating habits and exercise won't do much to reduce your cellulite. If you really want to reduce cellulite, you need to understand what's behind it.

Cellulite is a natural part of women’s biology and there are several things that cause those signature dimples. Overtime, skin thins out and fat cells enlarge and push against the skin. The fibrous bands under the skin thicken and cause tension and the signature dimpling on your butt. The enzymes in QWO®—called collagenases—are believed to target a structural cause under your skin. It's thought that QWO® works in 3 ways: releasing fibrous bands, redistributing fat cells, and stimulating the growth of new collagen.

How is the QWO® treatment performed?

QWO® is injected by your aesthetic specialist directly into targeted dimples in the buttocks using a small needle. At each office visit, injections take as little as 10 minutes.

What can I expect after treatment?

In clinical trials, women required no post-treatment downtime. Most bruising lessened after each treatment and resolved in less than 21 days. At your consultation your aesthetic specialist will discuss treatment and expectations.

Who is a QWO® candidate?

Approximately 90% of women have cellulite, and it isn’t caused by what or how much you eat or because you aren’t exercising enough. At Cape Fear Aesthetics your aesthetic specialist will assess the amount of cellulite in your buttocks and will determine if you are a good candidate for QWO® and how many treatments are  .

Think about your goals beforehand and have them ready when you come in to your appointment. Describe how your cellulite makes you feel, and why you want to give QWO® a try. This will ensure you are prepared for your consultation.

How many QWO® treatments will I need?

If your aesthetic specialist determines that QWO® is right for you, she or he will decide on a treatment plan, including the total number of treatments. Each treatment visit may include up to 2 treatment areas. QWO® injections will be given 21 days apart for 3 treatment visits.

When will I notice the results?

Visible results may be achieved in 10 weeks. In clinical studies, women received 3 treatments of QWO®, 21 days apart. Some women also notice results prior to those 10 weeks; it does vary for our patients.

How much does the QWO® treatment cost?

At Cape Fear Aesthetics, we try our best to keep our services affordable to our patients. This includes accepting many forms of payment and offering flexible financing options through CareCredit®, United Medical Credit, and Prosper Healthcare Lending. If you are considering dermaplaning, we encourage you to schedule a private consultation.
